Meet Our Team

  

Trevor Baker

Practice Owner (BVSc)

Trevor graduated from Sydney University in 1970 and shortly after, founded the largest group of Veterinary Clinics in Australia. After a brief retirement in 2011, Trevor built and opened Blakes Crossing Veterinary Surgery. Trevor has a particular interest in Canine and Feline Medicine and Orthopaedics. In his spare time, Trevor spends time on his cattle farm on the Fleurieu Peninsula with his wife Robyn, and Alexia the Mini Poodle.


Louise Bower

Practice Owner (BSc BVMS)

Louise graduated from Murdoch University in 2000 and has lived and worked in Adelaide since graduation. Her special interests include surgery, emergency medicine, Ultrasonography and rabbits. Louise has completed her Post Graduate Sydney University course in Surgery and hopes to complete the Ultrasonography stream in the near future. Louise, her partner Ben and their children Aurelia and Landon live in the Barossa. They have many and varied pets including Horace the English Pointer. In her spare time, Louise plays netball for Barossa Districts and does triathalons to keep fit.


Georgie Suitor

Veterinarian (BSc DVM)

Georgie graduated from University of Adelaide 2014. She has a special interest in medicine. In her spare time, she likes spending time with friends, water skiing and reading. She has two dogs Winston  and Floki both ridgeback and one cat Percy the ginger ninja.


Jo Bromley

Veterinarian (BVBiol BVSc)

Dr Jo Bromley

Has recently joined the Blakes Veterinary Surgeries Team.

 

 


Jennifer Slade

Veterinarian (DVM BSc (P-V))

Jennifer graduated from University of Adelaide in 2014 and has spent most of her life in rural South Australia. She has a love of all animals big and small with experience working with native species, exotics and reptiles in addition to the more usual domestic pets. Jennifer spent time learning with wildlife vets in South Africa in 2014 working with crocodiles, giraffe, impala and Cape buffalo. She has also travelled to central and northern Australia to work with wildlife and domestic animals. Jennifer currently resides in Gawler with her children, dogs Zeus and Gaia and cats Leroy and Pookie.


Rhyanna Tedesco

Veterinarian

Graduated from Roseworthy Campus University of Adelaide in 2015.

Rhyanna enjoys the diverse range of various medical cases.

She recently got a dog called Max. In her spare time she enjoys crafty hobbies like crochet and card making.

 

Rhyanna is currently on Maternity leave.


Ringo Chan

Veterinarian (BSc DVM)

Just joined the Blakes Crossing Team

Ringo has just recently graduated from the University of Adelaide,Roseworthy. He has two cats one called Abbey and the other one called Holly. Ringo enjoys the surgical side of veterinary medicine and looks forward to meeting you and your pets. In his spare time he enjoys playing the piano and reading.


Tahlia Mitchell

Veterinarian (BSc DVM)

Just joined the Blakes Crossing Team.

Tahlia has just recently graduated from the University of Adelaide, Roseworthy. She has a pet frog and is often helping out with her parents alpacas and chickens. She is interested in both canine and feline medicine.

She looks forward to meeting you and your pets.


Kylie

Receptionist

Kylie has worked for various government and private companies and brings 20 years of administration, finance and customer service experience to our team. Kylie lives on 16 acres in Springton, is married with 3 children, has three dogs, Jemma a Blue Heeler, Jackie and Rosie the Kelpie pups, cats Tia and Roxy, numerous sheep and one cow. She also loves playing netball for Barossa District Netball Club and enjoys being involved with her children’s sport. She looks forward in meeting you and helping with your pets needs.


Jackie

Head Nurse (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Jackie originated in NSW where she began nursing in 1998 and became qualified in Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  She is married and has two children Kai and Mahli. Jackie has a keen interest in Emergency nursing and Surgical nursing, and she excells in both of these fields.  In her spare time Jackie takes her dog for walks and spends time with her family.    


Lesley

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Lesley has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and holds a Diploma in Dental.

She has been working as a Veterinary Nurse for 5 years and has an interest in dentistry and animal reproduction. Lesley has a variety of pets and enjoys dog training.


Eden

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Eden completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE in 2011

She has a special interest in assisting in caesarians and paediatric nursing.

Eden has one dog Poppy, four cats George, Priscilla, Cookies and Sabbath, a bearded dragon called Jeffrey, two water dragons and two golden bell frogs.

In her spare time Eden enjoys spending time with friends.


Catherine

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Catherine has recently completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Open Colleges.

She has a keen interest in surgical nursing and also emergency and critical care nursing. Catherine is married and has a daughter called Jasmine. When she is not working and being kept busy by a toddler she trains in karate and plays hockey. Catherine currently  has 2 dogs, a German Shepherd Chief and Cocker Spaniel called Ollie.

Catherine works between our two veterinary surgeries and enjoys seeing you and your pets.


Julie

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Julie completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE.

She has a special interest in cat medicine. Julie currently has ten Devon Rex cats, she also breeds Devon Rex’s and competes in cat shows. In her spare time she enjoys reading.


Laura

Veterinary Nurse (Studying Cert IV Vet Nursing )

Laura works as a veterinary nurse between our two surgeries. She has a strong interest in dog behaviour and training. Laura is one of our puppy pre-school and obedience trainers. This has led to her desire to study through the Delta society to become a dog trainer.

Laura owns a white boxer called winter.

When she is not at work she enjoys riding her horse and taking winter for walks.


Courtney

Trainee Nurse (Currently studying Veterinary Nursing)

Courtney has completed Certificates I, II and III in Animal studies and is currently studying a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE.Courtney enjoys working with a variety of animals particularly horses since she has always been around them from a young age. She has two dogs, one of which is a Kelpie with a strong personality and the other a puppy called Rebel. Courtney and her partner just recently welcomed a new addition to their family her daughter Isabella. When Courtney is not working or studying she enjoys spending time with her family.


Hannah

Veterinary Nurse (Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Hannah joined our team in 2013 and is currently studying Doctor of Veterinary Medicine through the Adelaide University. She enjoys going to the gym and doing Bikram yoga to keep fit. She lives with a spoilt Cocker Spaniel named Milo and loves taking him to the beach. She is particularly interested in small animal emergency medicine and wishes to continue with this in her future career.


Caitlyn

Veterinary Nurse (Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Caitlyn started working for us in 2014 and is currently studying a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine through the Adelaide University. She would like to work with small animals once she graduates and enjoys helping out with Puppy Pre-school at the clinic. In her spare time she likes catching up with friends and family, hiking and camping.


Liberty

Veterinary Nurse (Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Liberty joined the team in 2014. She is currently studying the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Adelaide. In her spare time she enjoys riding her retired racehorse Fauvism. She has a Border Collie X called Tex, a Conure Parrot called Lilian and has recently adopted a cat called Miaowzi who was surrendered to the clinic. She has an interest in equine practice and hopes to pursue this area of practice after graduation.


Sarah

Veterinary Nurse (Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Sarah is currently studying Veterinary Science at the Roseworthy Campus University of Adelaide. She commenced her studies in 2014 and expects to complete her Bachelor of Veterinary Bio Science by the end of 2016. Sarah is passionate about all animals. She has one dog called Reggie a Jack Russell Terrier and two Lovebirds.

She is the 2016 president of the Adelaide Veterinary Students Association.

In her spare time she enjoys hiking and the visual arts.


Elke

(Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Elke has recently joined our team and is currently studying Veterinary Science through the Adelaide University. She has a keen interest in wildlife and equine medicine.

She has various pets, three cats Meeko, Lavender and Cyerene, two dogs Onslow and Cleo both are Border Collie X and four horses Vanity, Spud, Bolero and Gypsy. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses and reading.


Taylor

(Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Taylor has recently joined our team and is currently studying Veterinary Science through the Adelaide University.

Taylor has a particular interest in wildlife and previously worked at the Adelaide Zoo as a keeper.

He has two dogs Bella & Maisy both are English Staffordshire Bull Terriers. He also has a Coastal Carpet Python called Steve. When Taylor has spare time he likes to hang out with mates and play Basketball.


Ruby

(Currently studying Veterinary Science)

Ruby has recently joined our team and is currently studying Veterinary Science through the Adelaide University.

 


  

Greg Moore

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Dr Greg Moore is our senior veterinarian based at out Blakes Tiver Road Veterinary Centre.

Greg has a particular interest in orthopaedic surgeries and reproduction. He has a keen interest in Greyhounds and brachycephalic breeds.  

When he is not busy working he plays hockey and takes his dogs for a run.


Erin Baker

Veterinary Practice Manager

Erin is married with two kids Jasmine and Madeleine. She has a Mastiff X called Maxie, a rabbit called Fifi and two guinea pigs Ginny and Pinny. Erin plays netball, enjoys spending time with her family and friends.


Ben Weidenbach

Veterinary Nurse

Ben has spent several years as part of the Blakes team, mainly spending time behind the scenes. Bens role is now situated at Blakes Tiver Road Veterinary Centre were he assists in the day to day running of the clinic. Ben has a keen interest in reproduction and genetics, aswell as showing his German Wire Haired Pointers. 


Aimee Dent

Trainee Nurse (Accredited Canine Trainer)

Aimee is one of the veterinary nurses at Blakes Tiver Road Veterinary Centre. She is a government accredited canine trainer and has a keen interest in dog behaviour and psychology. Aimee runs Guardian Angel Animal Rescue outside of working at the centre.


Pam

Groomer

Pam has over 15 years’ experience in grooming. She likes knowing that she is making an animal feel better once groomed.She takes pride in her work and is known to be a perfectionist.In her spare time when she is not grooming she can be found showing Western horses and competing Australia wide. Pam also breeds Jack Russell Terriers mainly for their temperament and size.
