Veterinary services during COVID-19 Lock down
Blake's Veterinary Surgeries will offer essential services and products for the health and welfare of animals during the South Australian lockdown.
The current lockdown direction issued by the State Coordinator on 21 July 2021 restricts us to providing essential services and products. It does not permit us to provide non-essential services or products.
Under the lockdown direction, veterinary surgeons and staff are only allowed to leave their homes during stay-at-home restrictions to perform work:
-
- Where there is a genuine animal welfare issue; or
- For the purpose of artificial insemination of an animal.
Members of the community are only allowed to attend a veterinary clinic to obtain an essential service or for an essential reason.
Until the lock down ends, we cannot, by law, provide non-essential services or products. All appointments for these purposes will need to be rescheduled with us.
If you are unsure whether a visit to our clinic is essential, please telephone us on 0872313000 / 0872313099, and we will assist you.
If you do need to come into the clinic, can you please assist us by checking in, wearing a mask and waiting outside if our reception area is busy.
Thank you for your understanding. As always, we are here for the health and welfare of your animals.
